Switch Crash after ending a divorce day

Hi there hello lovely fans of a lovely game, I am here to call for help because Haley wants to lock me in, she crashes my game every time I try to divorce her. I cannot be freed from the Blonde Maiden! Emily refuses to help because it's easier for her to maintain her house now that Haley is gone.

Issue - after filing for divorce, the game crashes on the same day immediately after you go to sleep, before the money report.
Version - Current version for Switch as of 25.11.2024
Error text - "Die Software wurde beendet, da ein Fehler aufgetreten ist"
OS/Device - Nintendo Switch
In-game language - German / Deutsch
Game Mode - Multiplayer, 2 players on split screen co-op, Meadowlands, 50% reduced profit, monster spawn at night

I am also having this issue! I guess I'm stuck with Sebastian until it's fixed! Thank you guys for your dedication to the game and all the new stuff lately! ❤

It's happening to me on Xbox as well. I am SO tired of being married to shane lol, it's turning into hatred😭 i need him and his nasty room out of my house and away from the kids

The same thing keeps on happening to me! I am playing on single player and my day has crashed the third time after trying to divorce Sebastian! I lose all my progress of the day which is honestly so annoying as I am decorating my farm atm and have to restart again. Crying. Hope this gets fixed in a quick patch. Praying as my only hobby atm is playing Stardew lol.
OS/Device: Nintendo Switch
Game Mode: Singleplayer/ no split screen/ Farm that would be perfect for co-op (4 corners)/ no changes in settings

Have the same problem:cry: I married Emily just for the Strawberry set and now I can’t divorce her without my game crashing… instant karma:emily:

Having the same issue last night. Married penny for the strawberry bed/room decor. Tried divorce and as soon as the screen shifted black, the game made a buzzing noise and crashed. I tried lots of possible solves and none worked.

- Divorce but Exit game. (Delays divorce til next day)
- Divorce and pass out (still crashes)
- Divorce and cancel, then divorce again.
-Divorce and Sleep (even skipped days)

but no avail.

Same problem after attempting to divorce Elliott. Does not matter if at the end of the day or going to sleep midday.

Ok, so I figured out what to do. At least for switch. Make sure your switch is updated, has internet, and restart it if it doesn't work. It'll usually show up after doing this

I'm having the same problem (now a month later than first message)

Tried doing nothing on the day, restarting, everything; I feel like I'm stuck in some time loop as I keep repeating spring 23rd 😭

does anyone have any updates on what to do??

Still no luck for me either :/ I just want to divorce Alex already.

I’m in 2025 and started having this problem on switch also but with Haley, literally can sleep any time but when I try to divorce her then sleep it crashes.

It's 2025 and I cannot divorce shane, and it's making me really mad.. i just wanna marry Emily because shane is never home at night someone please help 🥲
