Switch Switch Fishing Bug

Hey there! Longtime stardew player here and this has me stumped. So, I just started playing Stardew on switch for the first time since the 1.6 update. I’ve been playing on my phone for a while, but decided I wanted to do it on the big screen. The only problem I’m having is trying to fish. While fishing, The fishing bar will suddenly drop all the way to the bottom no matter if I’m on the fish or not. I could be a second away from catching the fish and then all of a sudden the fishing bar goes all the way down, just disappears, and I lose the fish. Is there any way to fix this, or do I just have to wait for it to get patched?

No baits are attached, and I’ve been using the bamboo rod, and then the training rod because Willy was concerned that I wasn’t fishing enough. Both do the same thing where the bar disappears and loses the fish.

Any chance you accidentally hit the button to quit the coding mini game? I do that sometimes on mobile when I’m not paying attention where I tap…

otherwise, I think this post should be in the bug report section, so the developers can see it more easily. I will ask the mods to move it.
