Switch 1.6 Stuttering issue

so whenever i first loaded up my save file after the update i went and put a hat on my cat. after i did that, i would walk around or ride my horse and every few seconds the game would freeze up and then id be a few steps ahead of where i previously was. it would do this over and over and over again. it only did this when i was in the same vicinity as my cat (ex: when i was in my home and he was outside, it wouldnt do it. when i was outside of my farm it wouldnt do it) when i removed the hat it stopped. tried it with a different hat and it started up again.

Same issue here. Playing on the Switch, but I'm not sure how to remove the hat. As soon as I'm in a different area the rubberbanding stops.

Hey mother kitty! issue is definitely with the hat on the cat. i got to remove it on switch by trying to put a new hat on. it removes the old one but doesnt put the new one on until you click it again.
